Tyranny when honest, is always rejected. That is why it must be both dishonest deceptive.
If we had known in the beginning of this pandemic that the government would force the people to get a vaccine, that it would work to pressure your employer to force you to undergo medical procedures or be terminated from your job without exemptions for your deeply held religious or moral beliefs, and that you would be required to show medical paperwork in order to participate in polite society, we would have thoroughly rejected it.
But we were afraid. We knew little about the origins, methodology of spread, target population, and how to effectively treat those who contract severe cases. So we agreed to lock everything (save some “essential” services). The cost, a simple 15 days. We saw the imagery coming from Italy, the report from the Imperial College of London forecasting 2.2 million US deaths by August. We were afraid that the world was coming to an end. So we accepted the trade: our liberty in exchange for some temporary security.
From March of 2020 to today, our liberties, rights, and freedoms are at risk of being transformed into privileges. Our right to work now the latest target of those who would seek to profit and empower themselves from this crisis. The new OSHA COVID-19 mandate for employers has been released, and it is a lot to swallow. They use the justification of “grave danger” to thrust upon the American people a vaccine, with no long term studies done, and so much opacity behind what is both the contents of the vaccine, and the process of development and testing of the vaccine.
Now we see that the definition of fully vaccinated is likely to change. I received the two shots of the Pfizer vaccine, but I’m certain that over the next few months I will be considered unvaccinated because I do not wish to get a booster shot of the COVID vaccine. I will be considered “anti-vax” because I dare question why the government has lied to us repeatedly, has moved the goal posts, and has changed the definitions of nearly everything having to do with this pandemic. We know that the virus targets predominantly older folks with comorbidities. The data bears that out.
As of 11/3/2021, the majority of deaths (499,233 of 748,164) have occurred in Americans 50 and older, with the largest of those groups age 85 and up. This figure is the number of deaths involving COVID, not specifically from COVID. But my coworker, and many of the people I hear from who are scared of this virus, believe that everyone is equally at risk of dying or being hospitalized from this virus, from children to the elderly, which is far from the case if you look at the data, AKA “follow the science.”
But our government is engaging in more and more tyrannical behavior, and is co-opting the private sector in order to accomplish their goal of control. The NBA now recommends that players get a booster shot, particularly if they had received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The basic question of why matters here. The efficacy of the shots wanes over time, particularly the Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, dropping from 88% to 3% after six months, per News Medical. Pfizer has reduced from 91% to 50%, and Moderna dropped from 92% to 64% according to that same article.
In addition to all of this, Pfizer has introduced a pill that would reduce high-risk adults’ risk of hospitalization and death by 90%. Once authorized, we would have an effective treatment for COVID, which would render the need for vaccine mandates unnecessary. Little has been said of the treatment in the mainstream media. Rather, those who would suggest that alternative treatment would also work without the need for a vaccine are labeled as conspiracy theorists and “anti-vaxxers.”
Under this tyrannical regime, they cannot stand any objections, and peddle the same attacks for those who defy them, casting them out into the cornfield as racists, sexists, homophobes, transphobes, and so on and so forth. They melt down at the results of elections, calling parents who are concerned with what their children are being taught, “white supremacists,” despite the election of a Black Lieutenant Governor and Hispanic Attorney General. But that is the inherent dishonesty in their approach. It is not that you believe something different, or have concern for your values being imparted to your children. The underlying assumption is that you are evil.
Do not listen to the tyrannical government, for they will lie to you and tell you what you want to hear. Like the old Turkish saying goes,
The government is going to act in its own interest. It is interested in consolidating and expanding its power and control over the populace because they believe two things: first, that they are better equipped to manage your life than you are; and second, that you are too stupid to understand the “high-class problems” plaguing the country today. They do not care about the people of this country, and as a lasting impression, I will leave you with the Energy Secretary laughing at the notion that they have any impact on the oil market.
