This post will be short. On the path to recognizing where we are we have to come to accept that some people are set in their worldview, and that they are either unable, or unwilling to challenge the narrative that they constructed for themselves. There will be a time when those folks will have their worldview shattered. And it will be up to those of us already in the fight to welcome them with open arms.
The government and the corporations are not your friends. They don’t care about you beyond what they can extract from you. Instead of complaining about how unfair that makes life, it is more productive to accept it, and work on making the world a better place. Coca-Cola was facing backlash for introducing training that encouraged their workers to “be less white.” This type of post-modern critical race theory work is softening the beaches for “white people” to become the scapegoat for all of life’s problems. History shows us what happens to scapegoats on a regular basis.
Right now, there is much work to do. Finding ways of communicating to people, and more importantly, finding people willing to communicate or who are willing to challenge their world view are the only ones who we can appeal to. Until someone is open to it, there’s nothing but grief and frustration.
