I’ve settled into a rhythm of life that makes posting less frequent. But of course, I still see and hear and read much of what is going on in the world. Tragedy continues to happen, evil events still unfold in this country, and it hurts to see the pain and suffering that is going on in the souls of the people. But I am unsurprised that these things seem to be happening more and more.
With the events unfolding in Uvalde, it’s clear that the police have heard and absorbed the message of BLM and Antifa. They have internalized the idea the ACAB idea, and are now less willing to put themselves on the line for a citizenry that actively hates them and tries to defund and disband them.
The children are broken. They have suffered immense psychological damage, many coming from broken families, many more being forced into government imposed isolation, and culturally valued social media fame. Kids want to be internet stars and YouTubers more than doctors and lawyers nowadays, and our big tech oligarchs manipulate the algorithm to elevate the an ever increasing level of outrage, deviance, and bizarre behavior.
We not only accept, but we promote the types of instability and volatility because there is no objective morality, no objective truth, and everything is simply a social construct. We are unmoored from the very things that keep us civilized. And when that happens, we devolve into the most basic axiom of all. The strongest make the rules. Those who are willing to be most vicious and ruthless will win the day.
