I don’t know about you, but I think we’re in for a lot of pain and suffering in the near future. The economy is trash, thanks in large part to the record spending induced by the federal government during these two plus years of “fifteen days to slow the spread.” Our monetary supply has exploded, in order to show compassion to people and enable them to stay home, thinking that this will curb the spread of a virus that has killed now close to a million Americans (though even that number is overstated).
We’ve kicked the proverbial can down the road for far too long. We’ve allowed our politicians to convince us that wracking up over thirty trillion dollars in national debt wasn’t going to impact our finances. We’ve bought into the lie that becoming addicted to cheap goods in China was a good thing, and that our reliance on the rest of the world for most of our goods made the world safer.
We see now how fragile our position has become. We are gutting our strategic oil reserves, we are creating money via the fed so much that they are having to raise interest rates, we are seeing more and more empty spaces in our grocery stores as manufacturers struggle with supply line issues. Prices are skyrocketing for food, fuel, and basic goods. We are looking at shortages in semi-conductors, which go into so many more goods than we realize. We are on the brink of World War, and unable to stomach the idea that we’ll have to engage in conflict with Russia and more likely than not Iran and China.
And what frustrates me is that our government is still obsessed with trying to push its progressive agenda at every turn. They, and to some extent the mob of idealistic fanatics of their policies, continue to rail against the family, continue to push racist, and sexist lies and propaganda on the American people. Most of us just wanted to be left alone. We didn’t care that someone was gay, or trans, or bi, or Black, or Hispanic, or White, or whatever… We cared if they were a**holes or not. But this wasn’t good enough for the progressives. We had to engage in their delusion too. We had to recognize their position regardless of whether or not it comported with objective reality or truth. We had to, under threat of legal force, or cultural cancellation, bend the knee to this mob of bullies, all because we just wanted to be left alone.
I am glad we’re waking up to this. I am glad many are recognizing that when you combine radical progressivism with power, you get chaos, disorder, and the destruction of our culture. I am glad that parents are realizing how insane the Neo-Fascist left has become, and the extent to which they’ll go to not only force you into submission, but to corrupt your children and turn them against you.
It reminds me of Animal Farm, and the part where the pigs take the puppies, to be molded and brainwashed into attack dogs later in the book, a metaphor for the secret police of the Soviet Union. But if the parents allow their children to be taken from them, then we’ll have seen the last generation of American citizens, and the first generation of American subjects.
I still hold out hope that liberty will win in the end, but I have to admit, it’s dark out here right now.
