Realistic expectations…

Governor Newsome will stay Governor. I’m unsurprised. Realistically when the state got so crazy that it became nearly impossible for the little guy to succeed, most of the Republicans and moderates have abandoned ship. Those who remain are either dependent on the system, stubborn (I count myself among them), or desiring the insanity that defines the “Golden State.” My plans to leave the state are becoming more and more a reality.

This post will be short. I accept the results of the election. I don’t like them, but them’s the breaks. This state has chosen decline and authoritarianism. Let us reap what we have sown. As HL Mencken said, “Democracy is the idea that the American people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard.” I firmly believe that this will come to haunt the state, and the country at large. It will be so sad to see California’s economy shrink as more and more people flee, leaving behind the parasites and vultures.

Watch the COVID restrictions come back, the vaccine and masking mandates return. Watch as California embraces the authoritarian progressive agenda and pits race against race. My expectations for the government have been lowered that this kind of thing that I had once thought to be farfetched is now much more realistic.
