Or Else…

Nicki Minaj has been making headlines as of late. The rapper and artist has been making waves throwing shade at the media’s portrayal of her tweets, and the misconstruing of her words, trying to make her out to be an “anti-vaxxer.” That phrase has been so diluted, and the media has jumped for their masters, marching in line with the latest spin from the ministry of propaganda in order to paint someone with genuine questions as a nutjob.

But the rewarding part is that she isn’t backing down. Let me be clear, I don’t follow Nicki Minaj. I’m not big into rap culture, and don’t listen to many of her songs. I don’t really care for the lifestyle that rappers in general portray. But so what? The beauty of being a Libertarian and a decent human being is that I don’t have to care to share a common value or principle.

People who have questions about the vaccine need to be not only heard, but listened to. You don’t stoke interest, and can’t change someone’s mind if you berate them, call them “anti-vax” and try to dox their family. Per Revolt.tv, Sharlene Rampersad, a reporter from Trinidad & Tobago, was called out for allegedly texting members of Minaj’s family and threatening to reveal their location to CNN. The screen captures are available here.

The authoritarian left that has infected and corrupted the media and the government constantly engages in group think, and cannot comprehend the idea of individual variation within any group. For them, the assumption IS that ALL members of the group MUST have the exact same values. And that is delusional thinking. Two people cannot be 100% the same. Each person has an individual experience, individual choices, individual interactions, individual thoughts. And no matter the amount of conditioning or propaganda, no two people will behave the same.

But to me what has become most concerning is their callousness and increasingly blatant disregard for the humanity of anyone who disagrees, or even questions what their message is. I am of the opinion that you, the individual must make their decisions. Each individual must make a choice, based on their factors (age, comorbidities, overall health) and either get the vaccine, or live with whatever health outcomes result from contracting the disease. But we’ve moved past all that. It isn’t about the science, the medicine, the vaccine, or the virus. It is a struggle for power. And in that pursuit, there is no guiding principle, and no moral obstacles strong enough to stop them.

Don’t be surprised when the mob gets turned upon you, ladies and gentlemen. They don’t care about your life, your health, your family, your religion, your gender, your ethnicity, your creed, orientation, or any other factor, unless it is useful to them.
