Twain was quoted as saying that history doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes. If left alone, the authoritarian left will become a totalitarian government, engaging in the same tyranny that every socialist and communist revolution that has come before. My post will be short. Below are two interviews from Timcast IRL, from survivors of Mao’s Cultural Revolution, and Fidel Castro’s Communist Revolution. Please watch them, and recognize the similarities between these two revolutions that resulted in millions of deaths.
It is important to learn these lessons, these themes, in order to recognize when they return in their next stanza. It is important to see them and to reject them. We must stare the atrocity of communism and socialism in the face, and recognize it in all of its disguises. Otherwise, we’ll be the next to fall.
