“We are a silly people.” Bill Maher said it right. We focus so much on our petty squabbles and our addiction to rage to ignore the real problems in the world. Get ready to see our gas prices go up again, more than the 45% since April of last year. With people getting back to work, mass inflation, and now a cyber attack on one of the largest pipelines, gas is going to go even higher.

But what we fight over nowadays is pronouns, microagressions, and misinformation. We have issues trying to get people to get a vaccine, and magnify any instance in which two people have a disagreement. All the wrong things go viral. All the vices are treated like virtues. We are less able today to speak to each other. Our lexicon and vocabulary are in flux, with words more and more having less and less meaning.

We are seeing the collapse of the country in real time. It is decaying before our eyes. This post will be short and sweet. We are being pulled and manipulated by the people seeking power. Learn to take care of yourselves folks, and learn to take care of your neighbors, they will be the ones to help you when times get tough. Practical skills will get you through.
